This dork is the reason why I’m never on tumblr anymore. You make me so happy. Thank you for putting up with my forgetfulness and clumsiness and all other mishaps I get myself into. My life has become so much better since you became a part of it. I’m so lucky to have you. You could have chosen anyone else, but of all the people you picked me. And despite any ups or downs we’ve come across, you’ve always been there. I’ve loved all the memories we’ve made together so far, and I can’t wait for us to make more. I can’t even begin to explain how grateful you make me feel. Thank you for always making me feel like a first choice. Thank you for always being there.

My mind is a crowded place.
I can only think of these three so far, so I guess for now my New Year’s Resolutions are to:
1. Visit at least five places I have never been to. More out of town shows, road trips, and plane tickets. I’ve only visited twelve states, and have only once been outside of America. I would definitely like to change that this year. Life’s too short to not experience as much of this world as you possibly can.
2. Pursue music to the fullest. Experiment with different musical outlets and expand my capabilities while improving those that I have. See out each opportunity I can take, and never stop learning and growing as a musician.
3. Not beat myself up so much. My emotions often become ensnared by situations that are out of my control, or I will fall upon unfortunate circumstances that I make my fault in my mind, even if I know deep down that I’m not at fault. And although some things are inevitably going to depress or upset me regardless, try to find the best of each situation, realize that life goes on and that dwelling on things tends to only make it worse. I need to focus more on doing what I can for myself and for those who are dear to me.
Without trying to sound “woe is me”, I went through a lot this year and I feel like it taught me about people and life as a whole, but even more about myself. This year had some very drastic ups and downs, with extremes on each end. This year has given me a lot to grow upon. May I take each bad experience I had this past year as a lesson to learn from, and may each good one serve as a reminder of just how lucky I’ve been to experience the things I have and to have such wonderful people in my life. And lastly, may 2012 be a year of self improvement, and may I make even better memories this year than the one before it.
Guess I’ll be going to bed now.
